Prof. Shannon won a highly competitive Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts & Letters Scholarly and Creative Accomplishment Fellowship (SCAF) from FAU, which gives her a release from teaching for fall 2017. She is using the semester to sort through and analyze the documents she collected this summer from the U.S. National Archives II, British Library, and British National Archives; to write an essay on U.S. relations with Iran since 1883 for the Oxford Research Encyclopedia; and to plan a journal article on Americans and the Iranian Constitutional Revolution of 1905-1911.
